Care Lab Announces Hewlett Foundation Grant

CARE LAB is delighted to announce the Hewlett Foundation as our newest funding partner. Hewlett’s U.S. Democracy Program makes grants to strengthen America’s governing institutions, and, in doing so, build public trust in democracy.

As Hewlett describes of the current moment in U.S. politics “there is a lot at stake for all of us, regardless of which tribe we consider our own.” “Painstaking” work like CARE LAB’s is part of the equation in cultural and structural change.

The program’s $200,000 general support grant to CARE LAB directly enables us to expand our network of senior staff leaders in the U.S. Senate, equip them with practical tools, and work in close collaboration with them to create new pathways toward mutual trust and productive conflict.

In addition to supporting our bipartisan work in Washington D.C., the Hewlett grant will allow us to design and test new programming at the state level, creating a direct line of sight between political leaders and people.

Hewlett joins Stand Together, the Fetzer Institute, the Christopher Reynolds Foundation, Civic Health Project, the Atlantic Philanthropies, and private donors in making CARE LAB’s work possible. We are deeply grateful.
